Games at the Georgia Dome

An 80,000 capacity stadium that opened in 1992 as the largest domed structure in the world, the Georgia Dome is home to the NFL's Atlanta Falcons, the NCAA's Georgia State Panthers, and the annual Chick FilA Bowl. The Falcons won the NFC championship and appeared in Super Bowl XXXIII in 1998. They have won five division championships, and have made twelve playoff appearances since their inception in 1965, and are a member of the NFC South. Attend at thrilling NFL game, concert, or other world-class event at the Georgia Dome, less than half an hour away from our hotel.

Historic Events

The Dome was the host to Super Bowl XXVIII (1994) and XXXIV (2000), host of the gymnastics and basketball events for the 1996 Olympic Games, and host to the NCAA Men's Final Four three times.

Sports of all Kinds

Not only has the Dome been the site for many football and basketball games, but has also hosted many international soccer matches. The Mexico/Nigeria match in 2014 drew 68,212 fans, the largest ever crowd for soccer in the Big Peach. The city of Atlanta also recently received its first Major League Soccer team, Atlanta United FC, scheduled to play in 2017.
