Martin Luther King, Jr. Center for Nonviolent Social Change

Established in 1968, this historic site offers visitors a look at the life, teachings and continuing legacy of Dr. King through a variety of exhibits and programs. Home to the birth home of Dr. King, the crypt of Dr. and Mrs. King, and an exhibit space honoring Rosa Parks and Mahatma Gandhi, the center is the official living memorial and offers free tours, two exhibition halls, an auditorium, a bookstore, a theater, a resource center, and an art gallery.

Visitors will enjoy the photographic history exhibits of Dr. and Mrs. King and the iconic leader showcases dedicated to Rosa Parks and Gandhi. Other attractions and activities include historical guided tours, art galleries, and the Eternal Flame and reflecting pool landmarks.

Nonviolence Education

The center works to spread Dr. King's message and strategies through educational programs in schools, exhibits and conferences at the center, and special training workshops for young people.
